Nestled in the heart of San Gabriel, Quan Ngon Nha Trang Restaurant offers an authentic Vietnamese dining experience that truly celebrates the rich, aromatic flavors of traditional Pho and other classic Vietnamese noodle soups. Specializing in savory, soul-warming bowls, this eatery is a must-visit for anyone craving a taste of Vietnam’s beloved culinary heritage.
The star of the menu is undoubtedly their Bun Bo Hue Spicy Beef Noodle Soup. Imagine thick rice noodles swimming in a deeply spiced, fragrant broth, generously laden with tender beef slices, pork trotter, and flavorful pork blood—a harmonious blend of heat, umami, and richness that dances on your palate. The texture contrasts between the chewy noodles and the melt-in-your-mouth proteins create an utterly satisfying mouthfeel that guests like David Young and Helen Trang rave about. The vibrant pinkish-red broth hints at layers of lemongrass and chili, perfectly balanced to ignite your senses without overwhelming them.
Another standout offering is the Bun Rieu Crab and Pork Meatball Tomato and Tofu Soup, a sophisticated dish featuring vermicelli rice noodles bathed in a bright, tangy tomato broth loaded with real crab, pork meatballs, and tofu slices. It’s an uplifting, hearty soup that manages to feel both fresh and indulgent—an exquisite example of Vietnamese comfort cuisine elevated to perfection.
Fans of lighter fare can explore an enticing range of side dishes and appetizers, including the delicate Cha Hue (Pork Roll) and crisp Cha Gio Cua (Crabmeat Egg Rolls). These small bites provide just the right contrast in texture and flavor to complement the rich noodle soups. For a refreshing finish, their Vietnamese Iced Coffee and Fresh Lime Soda offer a cool, invigorating counterpoint to the warm, spicy mains. The coffee’s robust, sweetened condensed milk undertones provide a creamy, bittersweet delight that’s hard to forget.
Quan Ngon Nha Trang is appreciated not just for its exceptional food but also for its welcoming atmosphere. The clean, well-maintained space provides a comfortable setting where both locals and visitors feel at home. Attentive and friendly service creates a relaxed dining experience, whether you’re enjoying a casual lunch or a leisurely dinner with friends and family. Customers like Pearline Lam and I M have noted the consistent freshness of herbs, the warmth of the soups, and the genuine care extended by the staff.
Whether you’re a fan of the nuanced layers found in a well-prepared bowl of pho ga (chicken noodle soup) or you want to indulge in the robust flavors of bun bo xao (stir-fried beef vermicelli), Quan Ngon Nha Trang delivers each dish with authenticity and heart. Parking is ample and convenient, making it easy to drop in and enjoy a flavorful journey to Vietnam without leaving San Gabriel.

Its loyal following is a testament to the passion and care evident in every dish—from the spicy depths of bun bo hue to the refreshing simplicity of pho ga.
Thursday 10/9/25 Lunch at Quan Nhin Nha Trung restaurant with my friend Erwin. Ordered the BBH, delicious and savory. David Young Restaurant Enthusiast
This place is definitely the better Nha Trang of the two. Their noodles are much more fresh and their drink was a lot better than the yellow building Nha Trang. This place is still one of my favorite pho places. We always get a pho ga and a bun bo hue. The pig blood in their bun bo hue was so juicy and delicious as well.
Bun bo hue was very good. Usually I ask for without the pork blood, but we kept it and it was delicious. Thai tea was surprisingly delicious too!!
Love the noodle soup. Soup is hot and herbs are fresh always. Good service and everything is clean. It good to noodle soup
Delicious! My friend took me here and I had to come back. They have delicious pho and bun bo hue. Their menu is simple and easy to read. Delicious and filling. The service is quality and caring. There is plenty of parking and bathroom available.
Nha Trang, a Vietnamese coastal city in Southern Vietnam, is known for its good foods. When we visited there a few years ago, we had a feast with many varieties of delicious food. The local food cuisine offers several varieties of noodles. One of our favorites was Bun Bo Hue, a Spicy beef noodle soup with Thick rice noodle, beef slices, pork trotter and pork blood cubes in complex lemongrass broth. The soup is amazing but I don’t care for the pork blood. Many people come to eat at this restaurant mainly for this dish. Besides this popular dish, the restaurant offers a very simple menu with less than 10 items and some drink varieties. Another one we like here is the Bun salad with grilled beef. Very tasty Beef. It’s a family run business, so the service was quiet folksy. They are very friendly and efficient. We didn’t have to wait for long for our food.
